About Us

Launched in the 2025–2026 academic year, the International German Math Olympiad is an esteemed academic competition organized by Main Team Organisation GmbH, a leading educational and event management company founded in Germany in 2012. The Olympiad provides a rigorous and stimulating platform for talented students worldwide to develop, demonstrate, and further advance their mathematical knowledge and problem-solving skills.

MTO GmbH has a growing network of over 110.000 students and more than 2.000 schools across more than 120 countries. This network is made up of participants who have taken part, either online or in person, in the following competitions organized by MTO:
- International STEM Olympiad (www.stemolympiad.org)
- Hi-Lingua Language Competition (www.hi-lingua.org)
- International NEO Science Olympiad (www.neoscience.org)
- International CODING Olympiad (www.codingolympiad.org)

In the above-mentioned competitions, students participate either online or on-site, depending on their preference, and pay a participation fee.

We know that many more young minds could benefit from such experiences, so we wanted to create something truly open and accessible to all regardless of where they live or the resources they have at hand.

With this vision, we are proud to introduce a completely free international mathematics competition for students from grade 3 to 11. By removing financial barriers to participation, we are building a space where learners from every background can connect, compete and grow together. Our aim is to promote educational equity, encourage cross-cultural exchange and spark a love for problem solving that extends beyond the classroom.
